KSCB Switch from KSU to KU Being Discussed on Message Board
07/09/2009

There has been a stir of controversy after KSCB announced that they would be switching from K-State athletics to KU on the radio.

The controversy has made the newspaper and been discussed on 'The Sportguys' radio show.

The discussion of the switch is now being talked about on a highly popular KU message board. There is currently a two page thread on phog.net about the topic on the football board.

The first post had the article about KSCB's switch from The Southwest Times newspaper. The original post highlighted Tracy Utz’s comments about there being a waning interest in K-State athletics in terms of listenership and advertising dollars.

One poster named wade23 even claims to be Utz's nephew.

The thread also ends up discussing the Liberal Bee Jays and a few ask if Mike Hargrove is still managing the team.

There are an average of thousands that view and post on this message board daily. There are people who view and post on the site from all over the country.

As of Thursday night there have been nearly 3,000 people view the thread about KSCB's switch.

The poll about rather or not KSCB made the right move is still available on the sports page.
