Jai Chapman is Mead Lumber Athlete of the Week

Liberal sophomore volleyball player Jai Chapman is the Mead Lumber Athlete of the Week.  Chapman led Liberal with 21 kills in wins over Guymon, Ulysses, and Colby Tuesday in the Big House.  Chapman also plays basketball, softball, and runs track. 

The Redskin volleyball team hosts the Liberal Volleyball Tournament Saturday beginning at 8:30 a.m.  LHS plays one of the 8:30 games against Sublette.  The Redskins are in Pool A with the Larks, Scott City, Wichita Southeast, and Ulysses.  Pool B includes Hugoton, Dodge City, Elkhart, Colby, and Southwestern Heights.  The top two from each pool will play in the semifinals, finals, and third place game during the afternoon.
