Bee Jays Face Walter Johnson Champs Saturday
08/04/2011

The 32-16 Liberal Bee Jays next opponent is from the Sunflower State.  The Walter Johnson League champion Valley Center Diamond Dawgs (26-10).  The Diamond Dawgs beat the Austin Gold Sox 6-2 on Sunday and outlasted the St. Joseph Mustangs 4-3 in 10 innings Wednesday night.  Liberal beat the Tulsa Titans 15-0 Saturday and blanked Play Ball Sports from Arvada, Colorado 8-0 Tuesday.  There is no game time yet for this game Saturday, but chances are strong that it will be Saturday night sometime.  Mike Hargrove's Bee Jays beat Valley Center 10-0 in five innings in 2009.  Mitch Caster provided a two RBI triple in the first inning of that win and Brett Davis pitched a shutout.  That BJ team took third at the NBC.
