Moscow Plays Valley Falls in First Round

Moscow begins play in the 2A state tournament in Emporia Friday, May 29 at 11:00 AM against 15-5 Valley Falls. Moscow is the top seed after beating Elkhart 4-0 Tuesday in Elkhart. The winner of that game plays Saturday at 10:00 AM against fourth seeded 16-3 Plainville or 19-4 Salina Sacred Heart. Other matchups include second seeded 18-1 Pittsburg Colgan against 17-6 Cottonwood Falls and third seeded 17-2 Sedan against 15-4 Humboldt. The championship game is Saturday evening at 5:30 PM.

In 2A softball, 17-6 Stanton County is the six seed and plays 19-4 Pittsburg Colgan Friday night at 7:00 PM. The winner plays second seeded 16-3 Spearville or 16-7 St. Mary's Saturday at 10:00 AM. The top seed is 20-1 Humboldt who plays 11-2 Dexter and fourth seeded 17-5 Oxford plays 16-5 Salina Sacred Heart. The championship is at 1:00 PM Saturday.
