The Liberal Bulldogs split a double header at Dodge City Friday. Liberal rallied to win the first game 5-3 before losing the second game 6-2.
Travis Leverett pitched the Bulldogs to the game one win allowing just four hits. The Dogs scored three in the top of the seventh to take the lead after trailing 3-2. Tyson Deaton doubled in the win. The game lasted 90 minutes.
In game two, Bulldogs pitching walked or hit seven batters the first two innings. Lane Miller pitched from the third through the sixth and allowed just one hit.
Liberal is 16-7 overall and hosts Minneola Monday at 6 p.m. at the Liberal Baseball Complex.
