The Jayhawk League will remain a six team league in 2011. Several original members remain in the league which originated in 1976 including the Liberal Bee Jays, Hays Larks, and El Dorado Broncos. The rest of the league consists of the Derby Twins who joined the league in 2005, the Dodge City A's who joined the league in 2007, and the Haysville Heat who moved from Havasu, Arizona and joined the league in 2010. The Bee Jays won the NBC World Series title going 38-14 this year after El Dorado won the NBC in 2009. The schedule will again be unbalanced with the BJ's facing Dodge City and Hays eight times and Derby, El Dorado, and Haysville six times a piece. The three teams in the western part of the state (A's, Larks, and BJ's) play eight times a piece while east plays west six times a piece. Haysville won the league in 2010 going 23-8 while Liberal was 22-12, Hays was 17-15, Haysville 11-18, Derby 11-21, and Dodge City 11-21.
