Seward's Danielle Orr Named Jayhawk West Player of the Week
03/19/2014

Following a huge week on the diamond for the 11th ranked Seward County Lady Saints, third baseman Danielle Orr has been named the Jayhawk West Player of the Week as announced by the league on Tuesday.

Orr was on fire for the Lady Saints last week, picking up hits in all six Seward games and hitting .632 in the process.  Monday against McCook she was 3 for 4 with a pair of doubles in a double header.  Wednesday against Garden City she finished 6 for 9 with 5 runs scored and 3 RBI’s as Seward took both games from the Lady Busters.  On Friday she finished the week strong, going 3 for 6 with 2 doubles and 3 RBI’s as Seward swept a double header from Barton.

Orr and the Lady Saints will continue their annual Spring Break Trip in Phoenix, Arizona on Wednesday afternoon as they take on Glendale in a 3:00 CST double header.
