Isaac Gallegos is Athlete of the Week

Isaac Gallegos

Liberal sophomore sprinter Isaac Gallegos is the Mead Lumber Athlete of the Week. Gallegos will compete in four different events at the state meet Friday and Saturday at Cessna Stadium in Wichita. Gallegos placed third at regionals in he 400 at 52.57 and was fourth in the 200 at 23.91. He is on the 4x400 relay team with Michael Sena, Adebayo Braimah, and Levondrick Martin which placed second at regionals (3:31.48) and teams with the same group in the 4x100 relay team which place fourth at regionals (44.80). Gallegos was recognized at athlete of the week during the Thursday morning edition of the Sportsguys which airs weekday mornings between 7:37 and 9 a.m. on Talkradio 1270 and kscbnews.net.
