Red Demons Romp Past Redskins

Austin Pitts fires a pitch during game one Tuesday against Dodge City.

Dodge City out played Liberal in every phase of the game Tuesday at the Liberal Baseball Complex. The Red Demons beat Liberal 17-2 in six innings and 12-0 in five innings. Game one was a 7-2 game until the sixth when the Red Demons plated 10 runs. Liberal made four errors during the inning including three on one play. Liberal committed five errors in the game. Seward signee Ty Thomas pitched Dodge to the win. In game two, Dodge blasted three homers in the third and scored nine runs during the inning. Liberal is 5-7 overall and 0-6 in the WAC. Liberal has been outscored 59-5 during four WAC home games against Hays and Dodge and has been outscored 74-12 during six WAC games. Dodge is 7-3 overall and 5-1 in the WAC. Hays finished their WAC schedule 6-2.
