KSCB's Chili Cook-Off Needs More Entries
09/16/2013

KSCB’s Chili cook-off is in danger of not occurring this year. The Chili Cook Off is from 11:30-1 Saturday at Blue Bonnet Park. First prize is 250 dollars and the KSCB traveling trophy with a second place prize of 150 dollars, 50 dollars for third, and 25 dollars for the people’s choice. Proceeds would benefit Big Brothers-Big Sisters of Haskell, Stevens, and Seward counties and the Whirlwind Career Counseling Center for veterans.
However, there is a catch. If KSCB doesn’t have at least 10 contestants by Wednesday, there will be no chili cook off this year. Right now, there are only two contestants. The deadline to enter is Friday, but if there aren’t 10 by Wednesday, the Chili Cook Off will be called off.
