04/14/2010

After a week in which he put up eye popping numbers in

the middle of the Seward County lineup, sophomore 1st baseman Josh

Dawson has been named the KJCCC Player of the Week. The left handed

swinging Dawson continued his hot hitting for Seward this week hitting

at a .480 clip in a 3-3 week for the Saints. Dawson had a career game

in a 17-14 loss on Monday as the he went 3 for 3 with 2 doubles, a

triple, and a career high 6 RBI's. He backed that up by going 4 for 5

with a pair of doubles in game two of the double header as he reached

base all 11 times he would step to the plate on the day. On Saturday he

had another pair of doubles for the Saints in game two of their series

with Hutchinson and on Sunday's game four he notched a triple and a home

run with 4 RBI's in a Saints win. Dawson and the Saints are scheduled
