Granger Grounds Eagles in Opener

Liberal and Hugoton finally opened their seasons Monday at the Liberal Baseball Complex. The Redskins rode the right arm of Brandon Granger to a 7-4 win. The senior right hander struck out 11 in five innings and allowed three hits. Liberal got off to a strong start offensively scoring two in the first, two in the third, two in the fourth and one in the fifth building a 7-2 lead. Liberal out-hit Hugoton 7-3. Tyson Deaton and Fredrick Gomez had two hits a piece in the win. Liberal plays at Guymon Saturday at 2 PM.
