Seward Softball Team Makes School History in NJCAA Poll
03/25/2010

With the release of the latest NJCAA National Top 20

softball poll, the Seward County Lady Saints find themselves in

uncharted territory. The Lady Saints jumped up 7 spots to #9 in today's

poll, to reach the highest position in the polls in school history. The

Lady Saints had previously been ranked #11 during the 2006-07 season but

were never able to crack the top 10. Seward is 10-3 in the past two

weeks with losses coming only to a top 20 ranked Odessa team and tough

defeats at the hands of Region 1 powers Central Arizona and Eastern

Arizona. The Lady Saints double header against Butler was postponed

today so they will hit the diamond again on the road Friday against

North Platte and then return to Jayhawk West play against upstart 4-0

Colby on Saturday.
