Political Group to Meet at Ruffinos on Thursday
01/20/2010

Liberal's newest political group will meet for a third time on Thursday at Ruffinos Restaurant at 7 p.m.

The group first met back in October at Epic PCS and had around 25 people attend. The group met again in November at Ruffinos and had close to 40 in attendance.

The group's primary focus includes following the Constitution and the liberties that the founding fathers intended for the country.

Co-founder and group organizer Jim Rice said the group's other focuses are up to the people who attend. He said there is nothing specific the group will discuss Thursday, but that the Massachusetts Senate race may be discussed and how small groups turned into big groups which helped organize one of the biggest political upsets in history on Tuesday night with Republican Scott Brown winning the late Ted Kennedy's seat in one of the most Democratic states in the U.S.

Rice stresses that everyone is invited to attend regardless of your political affiliation. The group is also still taking ideas for names.
