Seward out-scored the Lady Thunderbirds 34-21 in the second half after the teams played to a 37-37 halftime tie. Seward held Mesa to 32 percent shooting and 20 percent in the second half. Seward's offense continued their improvement as well shooting 45 percent from the field. Rachel Barnes poured in 26 points and yanked down 12 rebounds. Nadia Rosario added 12 points and 10 rebounds.
