Lady Saints Coast Past Murray State
12/01/2012

The Seward County Lady Saints picked up what might have
been their biggest win of the 2012-2013 early season Friday afternoon in
the Sports Arena in Hutchinson, downing 7-1 Murray State 68-46 to
improve to 7-3 overall on the year.  Quick starters this season, the
Lady Saints jumped out to a 14-4 lead thanks to 9 early points from
Madison McLain and stretched the lead to 12 before halftime 32-20.
Seward continued to tack on to their advantage in the second half, going
up by 19 midway through on a three pointer from Kelsey Blair and pushing
their lead to as many as 24 before coasting to the finish line with a
68-46 win.  The Lady Saints got a career high 20 points and 7 rebounds
from Fabiana Monte while McLain was up to her usual scoring ways with 15
and Ricquia Jones and Blair each pitched in 12.  The Lady Saints will
play an early 1:30 start again tomorrow when they take on Jayhawk East
foe Coffeyville in Hutchinson.
