"The Way We Worked" At The Library
11/13/2012

The Seward County Community College/Area Technical School Library's "The
Way We Worked" speaker series continues on Wednesday, November 14 at
noon in the Cooper Clark Room of the Liberal Memorial Library.

Each week, a panel of speakers will share their memories and discuss
their career fields, which have been staples in Liberal. The speakers
who have been involved in Liberal over the decades have backgrounds in
agriculture, education, legal, retail and business.

This week we will be focusing on education with Liberal residents Toby
Hale, Shawna Evans and Bridget King.

Bring your own lunch and we'll supply refreshments and cookies.

The programing will take place on Wednesdays at noon. The remaining
programs will be on Nov. 14, 28 and Dec. 5 at the Cooper Clark Room of
the Liberal Memorial Library.

The program is made possible by a grant from the Kansas Humanities Council.

The Way We Worked exhibit is currently at Stevens County Public Library
in Hugoton. The exhibit will be on display through Dec. 9.

The Way We Worked, a Smithsonian Institution traveling exhibition,
explores the stories of America’s workers, the culture of work, and the
changes in our workplace and workforce over time and across generations.

Through photographs from the National Archives, audio and video clips,
and hands-on components, visitors of all ages will see how, together,
our work makes America.
