FCCLA to Host Afternoon Christmas Cooking Class Saturday at LHS
12/10/2009

The class will take place on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. in Room 200 at Liberal High School. The class will learn how to make Peanut Brittle.

If you are interested in learning some cooking skills this holiday season there will be a cooking class this Saturday at Liberal High School at 1:30 p.m. The class will focus on learning how to make Peanut Brittle and Divinity. The cost is $25 per student and is an extra $10 if you would like to learn how to make Fudge. It will be taught following the other candies. You must be enrolled in the first class to participate in the second.

The classes will be taught by LHS Home Economics teacher Judy Williams with assistance from FCCLA members. The money made will all go toward the LHS FCCLA Chapter. Williams will not be making any money to teach the class, as she volunteered.

There is a class limit so Williams encourages those interested to sign up quickly as there is just two days left and the class could fill up at anytime. For more details or to enroll in this class call the high school at 604-1200 and ask for Judy Williams. You can also e-mail her at judy.williams@usd480.net

FCCLA will also be selling homemade candy and will deliver it from now until next Wednesday. Items available for purchase include Fudge, Chocolate, White Chocolate, or Peanut Butter with or without nuts, and Peanut Brittle. The cost is $6 per pound. If you are interested in this contact Williams at the high school or any FCCLA member.
