Young Skins and Lady Skins Bring in New Crop
12/01/2009

There will be a lot of new faces on the hard wood for Liberal High this winter. Strong senior classes graduated last May but left trophies and banners behind. The LHS boys were 17-6 last year and went to state for the second consecutive year. The won the WAC and went to state during their junior year in 2008 when they went 19-4. The Lady Skins were 21-2 last year which included a WAC title and a trip to state. The Liberal boys return one starter Jade Cathey who averaged 12 points and five rebounds a game. The Lady Skins don't return a starter. Liberal opens their season Friday at Maize South with the girls game at 6 PM and the boys game to follow on Talkradio 1270 and kscbnews.net. Saturday the LHS boys and girls play at Newman University in Wichita against Sunrise Christian with the girls game at 3:30 and the boys game to follow on Talkradio 1270 and kscbnews.net.
