Congressman Tiahrt Looks to Gain Ground at Forum Tonight
11/23/2009

Congressman Todd Tiahrt will participate in a Legislative Forum tonight at the Rock Island Depot from 6-7 p.m.

Kansas Congressman Todd Tiahrt will be in Liberal tonight for a Legislative Forum at the Rock Island Depot from 6-7 p.m.

Tiahrt is a candidate for a spot in the United States Senate. Tiahrt will be facing Congressman Jerry Moran in the Republican Primary next fall.

Back in April polls showed this race to be very close, however polling by SurveyUSA for KWCH in Wichita and KCTV in Kansas City, Mo., from early October found that Moran held a 43-27 percent lead over Tiahrt with 30 percent of voters still undecided.

The forum will start with Tiahrt providing some background about himself and then opening it up for questions to the public. He will also have literature available about his campaign at the forum. The forum is sponsored by the Liberal Chamber of Commerce.

Tiahart will be a guest on Live from Broadcast Square on Tuesday at 9 a.m. on 1270 AM.
