Sumner Leads Liberal at Willow Tree

The Liberal girls golf team hosted their invite on Thursday  at Willow Tree for WAC golf.  Evan Sumner rebounded well  from her last performance and shot a 42 which tied her for 2nd place but ended up with 4th due to a score card playoff.   The winning score was a 2 under 34 posted by Garden City's Abbi Shaddix.  Garden City won the tournament with a score of 172, Hays 182, Great Bend 198, Dodge City 210 and Liberal 211.
Jamie Brond shot a  53 for 16th, Riley Jones shot a 57 for 22nd, Julie Jackle carded a 58 for 24th, Alyssa Stoddard scored a  62, Jesslyn Lamont shot a 65, and Courtney Widener finished with a 75.
Next contest is at Ulysses bent wood golf course at 10 am on tuesday
