Skin Seniors Look to Turn the Page After Soccer Title
08/14/2012

Quintana and Michel

Liberal is trying to look ahead.  After winning the 5A state soccer championship last year, they are trying to be ready to repeat.  The Redskins lost 9 of 11 starters from a 17-2 team in 2010 and won a state championship as an encore.  The program will have the proverbial target on its back, but what else is new.  Liberal has won 11 straight WAC titles and advanced to nine of the past 10 final fours. The Skins are hard at work this week with 9:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. practices to get ready for the season before school starts on Thursday.   Liberal seniors Elmer Quintana and Esteban Michel stopped by Broadcast Square to speak with the Sportsguys earlier this week.  Click on the audio icon to hear the interview.
