Cast Named and Tickets On Sale For "Wizard Of Oz"

The Drama Department at Seward County Community College/Area Technical School in Liberal, Kansas, has named the cast for the 2009 Musical production of “The Wizard of Oz.

New drama instructor, Alison Bridget Chambers, will direct the musical.

Members of the cast are Dorothy, Tiffany Prater; Aunt Em, LaVonna Gonzales; Glinda, Heather Grant; Uncle Henry/Guard, Peter Emery, Turpin; Zeke/Cowardly Lion, Bud Smithson; Hickory/ Tin Man, Isaac Fuentes, Sublette;

Hunk/ Scarecrow, Logan Michael Green, Meade; Wicked Witch/Mrs. Gultch, Glenda Patterson, Copeland; Professor Marvel/ Wizard, Tony Claus and Niko, Keevan Lewis.

The Munchkins are Braggart, Samantha Bowen; School Teacher, Mackenzie Farmer; Mayor, Joe Denoyer; Barrister, Jessica Malin; Coroner, Aspen Jaramillo;

Members of the Lullaby League are Jordan Urban; Kelsey Oliver, Hooker; Kinsey Oliver, Hooker. The Lollipop Guild includes Carrie Shinogle, Briana King and Katie Stinson.

The crows are Jennifer Knox, Jose Angel Rodriguez and Jessica Bickerstaff and Apple Trees are Vicky Brundthart, Yahaida Zubia, and Elizabeth Denoyer.

The Ozians are Jose Angel Rodriguez, Vicky Brundthart, Yahaida Zubia, Elizabeth Denoyer, Jennifer Knox, Jessica Bickerstaff, Gary Collins, and Carrie Shinogle.

The Winkie General is Joe Denoyer with the winkies as Jose Angel Rodriguez and Gary Collins. The flying monkeys are Mackenzie Farmer and Kinsey and Kelsey Oliver of Hooker.

Tickets are now on sale for the 7:30 p.m. performances that will run Oct. 7-9 in the Showcase Theater. Reserved seats are $5 for side sections and $7 for center sections.
