Sex Offenders Arrested

In the past couple of months, several counts of physical and sexual abuse have been alleged in the Guymon area. Most recently child abuse, forcible sodomy and a sex offender failing to register a new address while living next to a school are among the offenses. On February 25, Steven Dauer, 27 of Guymon was arrested and charged with two counts of child abuse by injury. One count occurred on or about June 25, 2008 and the other on or between the first day of December 2008. Dauer is being tried on two felony counts of child abuse by injury. Dauer was released by the Texas County Detention Center on a $15,000 bond.

Also on February 25, Justin Hall, 34 of Guymon, was arrested for failure to notify the proper authorities of an address change for a sex offender and also being a sex offender living within 2000 feet of a school.

Hall allegedly not met the standards for keeping in contact with the Sex and Violent Offender Registration Office in Oklahoma City. Justin is an aggravated sex offender and has to register every 90 days and had failed to do so since May of 2008.

Hall is being held at the Texas County Detention Center with a bond set at $20,000.

Daniel Luthi was also picked up on 2005 charges of forcible sodomy, distribution of controlled substance and providing beer to minor. Luthi, 27 formerly of Hooker, Okla., was charged and bonded out where he evaded the police for four years until being caught and jailed on February 24.

Luthi was released from the Texas County Detention Center on a bond of $40,000.
