Memorial Day Services Scheduled for Liberal

The American Legion and Legion Auxillary will host special services on Sunday May 26th at both services of the 1st United Methodist Church in Liberalin honor of Memorial Day.

Then on Monday, Memorial Day Services will be held at both Liberal Cemeteries.

The first service will begin at 9 a.m. Monday at Restlawn Cemetery north of Liberal on U.S. Hwy. 83.

The services then move to Liberal Cemetery on west 15th Street where things will get underway at 11:00 a.m.

There will be guest speakers, poems, special music and the Echo of those Missing in Action. Also added this year will be a special presentaion commerating the 100th Anniversay of the American Legion and Post 80 in Liberal.
