Man Killed In Early Morning Accident

KSCB News - December 3, 2013 11:06 am

Speed was a factor in a deadly accident in southwest Kansas. The accident was discovered at 2:35 a.m. on U.S. Highway 50, two miles east of Lakin.

The Kearny County sheriff’s office said deputies found the driver’s body in a pasture near where his SUV left the roadway. Michael Paul Perez, 46, died in the crash.

Investigators determined Perez’s SUV was westbound when it lost control, crossed the roadway and overturned in a ditch.
