Liberal City Commission Meets, Promotes Firefighter

The Liberal City Commission met Tuesday evening and at the start of the meeting, Fire Chief Kelly Kirk promoted Firefighter Eric Rodriguez to the rank of Lieutenant. He was pinned by his wife, and presented his helmet by his son.

Commissioners approved the purchase of asphalt millings from APAC Corporation for Arkalon Park roads not to exceed $7,000.

The Commission also approved the Water Department building repairs in the amount of $24,869 with B&G Services.

City Commissioners approved electrical improvements to the ball fields with B&B Electric $15,330.00.

The Commission also gave City Staff a consensus to pursue the purchase of 4 lots to help with flood control.
