LHS Golf Comes Back Down to Earth at Buffalo Dunes

After winning their own tournament, the Liberal golf team found the competition and the course to be a bit more challenging Saturday at Buffalo Dunes in Garden City. Liberal placed sixth out of 10 teams with a 344. Guymon shot a 341 for fifth while Ulysses shot a 348 for eighth. Liberal’s Alex Colvin and Conner Warren both shot 85’s for 19th. Slader McVey carded an 86 for 24th while Zane Ralston shot an 88 for 29th. Guymon’s Tre Fankhauser recorded an 81 for 13th. Hutchinson’s Thane Ringler won the tournament with a 73. Here are the team scores: Hutchinson (306), Maize (319), Hays (322), Garden City (326), Guymon (341), Liberal (344), Dodge City (347), Ulysses (348), Salina South (365), and Great Bend (405). Liberal goes to Guymon Friday.
