Seward Up One Spot to #6 in NJCAA Rankings
Feb 07, 2017
Another 2-0 week and another big resume win has bumped the Seward County Lady Saints up to #6 in the latest NJCAA Top 25 poll. The Lady Saints earned home wins over Pratt and Cowley last week in the Greenhouse to remain in the top 10 of the rankings for the eighth consecutive week.
All five of the top spots in the poll shuffled around this week as Gulf Coast moved back into the top spot while Hutchinson rose up one to #2 and former #1 Odessa took over the #3 slot after a loss to New Mexico. Speaking of New Mexico, they jump to #4 at 18-4 while Salt Lake rounds out the top five. The 22-1 Lady Saints find themselves in the #6 spot followed by South Plains, Chipola, Tallahassee, and Shelton State to round out the top 10.
The Lady Saints are 22-1 on the year heading into Wednesday’s showdown with Coffeyville on the road at Nellis Hall before returning home to take on Allen on Saturday in the Greenhouse.
