Kaiser Carlile To Be Honored Tonight In Wichita

KSCB News - August 4, 2015 8:26 am

Kaiser Carlile will be honored tonight before the Liberal Bee Jays 6 p.m. game. Wichita Mayor Jeff Longwell will speak to the family, and in honor of Carlile, city flags will be lowered to half-staff.

During the game, baby blue ribbons will be handed out to fans to support Kaiser’s family. Also, the NBC plans to give out Kaiser Carlile player cards. A moment of silence will be held before all feature games for the rest of the week, and during the second inning, the only noise from the PA will be hitter names. The second inning was when Kaiser was hit.

For the rest of the NBC World Series, two heart shaped “KC” signs have been placed on the backstop near both dugouts. The “KC” sign will remain on the scoreboard.

Tonight is also Greater Wichita Area Sports Commission Dollar Day. Fans can get $1 vouchers at Wichita area QuikTrip’s for the games.
