KSCB News - October 15, 2013 1:21 pm

NORMAN, Okla. (AP) – The National Weather Service has issued a frost advisory for counties in the Oklahoma Panhandle as a cold front sweeps through the state.

The weather service says low temperatures in the Panhandle are expected to dip into the 30s early Wednesday. The frost advisory is in place from 1 a.m. until 10 a.m. Wednesday.

Forecasters say sensitive plants could die if left uncovered.

Elsewhere in the state, thunderstorms are possible Tuesday morning in southern Oklahoma, but no severe weather is expected. Overnight lows are expected to drop into the 40s for most of the state.
