Elkhart Man Injured in Two Vehicle Accident

A two vehicle injury accident occurred  Wednesday morning at approximately 10:17am on US Highway 64 at Mile Marker 25, 4 miles north and 4 miles west of Guymon, OK in Texas County.

The accident occurred when a 2000 Volkswagen Jetta driven by Luis Miguel Morales , age 28 of Elkhart, KS, who was eastbound, crossed the center line, and struck a 2000 International cement truck driven by Mauricio Cardenas , age 60 of Guymon, OK.   Morales was pinned for approximately 30 minutes and was freed by Guymon Fire Department. He was transported from the scene by Apollo Mediflight to Northwest Texas Hospital in Amarillo, TX with head and leg injuries. Admitted in stable condition. Cardenas was not injured.
