Liberal senior softball player Zoey Torres is this week’s Hay Rice and Associates Athlete of the Week.  Torres leads Liberal batting .513 with seven home runs and 38 RBI’s.  She has nine doubles which is tied for the team lead and two triples.  In the circle, she is 3-1 with a 6.03 ERA.  Torres was also a standout in volleyball and basketball.  She was also part of NHS and the Photography Club.  Torres and the Redskins play in their 6A regional as an 8 seed against 10-12 Wichita South Wednesday at 1pm in Garden City.
