ROLL CALL
A Board of Education Workshop was held at the Education Service Center and was called to order by President Steve Helm at 5:30 pm with Mr. Travis Combs, Mr. Stewart Cauble, Mr. Alan Brown, and Mr. Royce Kitts in attendance. Mr. Nick Hatcher joined by phone.
The 2019-2020 Budget draft was presented to the Board for information. NOTE: Mr. Nick Hatcher arrived at 5:43 pm.
NOTE: Mr. Cliff Abbott arrived at 5:45 pm.
The regular meeting of the Board of Education was held at the Education Service Center and was called to order by President
Steve Helm at 6:30 pm with Mr. Travis Combs, Mr. Stewart Cauble, Mr. Alan Brown, Mr. Royce Kitts, Mr. Nick Hatcher, and Mr. Cliff Abbott in attendance.
Mrs. Renae Hickert, Mr. Todd Carter, Mr. Jerry Clay, Mr. Chad Mease, Mr. Rusty Tuman, Mrs. Vicki Adams, and Mrs. Lana Evans were also present.
Pastor Jim Garcia led the opening prayer.

Motion by Cauble, seconded by Kitts, to approve the minutes of the July 16, 2019 Board Workshop. Motion carried 7-0.

Motion by Hatcher, seconded by Brown, to approve the quote from Johnson Controls in the amount $10,397.00 to perform the annual Fire Alarm Inspections across the district.
Motion carried 7-0.
Motion by Brown, seconded by Hatcher, to approve an amount not to exceed $117,800 for fleet purchases and maintenance. Motion carried 7-0.

BOARD COMMENTS
EXECUTIVE SESSION
Each of the Board Members had the opportunity to report school activities and meetings they attended or were aware of since the last board meeting.
8. Motion by Cauble, seconded by Combs, to enter into executive session for consultation with an attorney for the body or agency which would be deemed privileged in attorney-client relationship; in order to protect attorney-client privilege, and the public interest and the open meeting will resume at 8:05 pm. Motion carried 7-0.

NOTE: Mrs. Hickert, Mr. Mease, and Mr. Yoxall were invited into executive session.
NOTE: Mr. Mease left at 8:02 pm.

EXECUTIVE SESSION
9. Motion by Cauble, seconded by Combs, to enter into the
executive session to discuss matters relating to employer-employee negotiations whether or not in consultation with the representative or representatives of the body or agency; in order to protect the district’s right to the confidentiality of its negotiating positions, and the public interest and the open meeting will resume at 9:20 pm. Motion carried 7-0.
NOTE: Mrs. Hickert and Mr. Yoxall were invited into executive session.
NOTE: Mr. Clay was invited in at 8:15 pm.
10.Motion by Abbott, seconded by Hatcher, to adjourn the meeting
at 9:21 pm. Motion carried 7-0.
