The USD 480 school board met Monday night for their regularly scheduled meeting. The board approved a schematic design for the construction of Liberal’s future schools. They will use designs from prototypes of other buildings which DLR Architectuve has already designed. This will save the district architectural costs. There will be more detail added inside but this is just the general scheme of the building which the board approved. The elemantary prototypes are similar to buildings being constructed in North Little Rock, Arkansas. The board also approved an architect’s contract for DLR. DLR is reducing architectural fees on the project because the district is using designs the firm has already developed.
