The USD 480 Board of Education met Monday night at the Education Service Center for a regularly scheduled meeting.
The meeting lasted just under an hour and included the approval of building rental waiver fees for three groups, the approval to purchase the Cisco switches with smartnet from AOS.
The board also approved an Adult Woodworking Class to be taught by Caleb Cline. Cline has volunteered to teach the class for no charge and it will be first come first serve for the first ten people to sign up.
The board also approved the retirement of Certified Teacher and Classified Employment/Resignations/Transfers.
The board also voted to table implementing a per diem system for traveling by members of the district. The choice to table the action item was so the new policy could go through the district policy committee first, and then come back to the board for approval.
The next meeting for the Board of Education will take place on Monday, October 19.
