In old business, a Land Donation was removed from the table and brought back before the board. The Board voted to decline the land donation from R&R Properties.
In new business, the Board voted to approve Vape Detectors for Liberal High Schools Main Campus. USD 480 had solicited pricing for twelve multifunction vape detectors that will be installed in the student bathrooms in LHS main campus, installation will be performed by district personnel.
Pricing was provided under a Greenbush contract.
The detectors are capable of sensing vaping as it happens, as well as increased noise levels that may indicate fighting or bullying. The sensors will then send a notification to designated building staff so that they may respond. The cost of the detectors came in at a cost of $10,846 from INAalert of Ellinwood Kansas.
