USD 480 Board Meets Approves Instructional Curriculum and Professional Learning for 2022-2023

The USD 480 Board of Education met on Monday evening and in New Business approved the Instructional Curriculum and Professional Learning for 2022-2023. The Board also approved the bids for stock supplies in the amount of $43,218.53 from the following vendors: Construction Paper Group – $11,080.00, Quill $12,765.34, and School Specialty for $19,373.19.

The Board voted to renew KASB membership and legal in the amount of 14,713.69, and approved the bid from Kansas Gym Floors in the amount of $10,050.00 to refinish the East Campus and LHS Big gym floors.

Also regarding Gym floors, the Board approved the bid from Kansas Gym floors in the amount of $31,456.00 to sand and repaint the gym floors at EMS and SRMS. Approved at Monday nights meeting was the bid from Sopa, Inc, in the amount of $23,164.00 o relocate the main court basketball goals and volleyball net system at both middle schools to be able to expand seating capacity during basketball and volleyball games.

The Board approved the purchase three 86″ ClearTouch Interactive Flat Panels w/ motorized stands from KCAV in the amount of $16,287.30. These IFPs will be used in a variety of ways throughout the district that include mobile displays for presentations, professional development and Board meetings.These IFPs will also be heavily used over the next month to allow teachers hands on experience with them as we continue to gather data on which classroom display option is right for the District.

Approved was the renewal of Aruba Controllers Licensing and Support from ISG in the amount of $13,094.00 for 15 months. Aruba Controllers are used to manage the wireless AP’s and clients.

On the property at 425 S. Pennsylvania, the Board accepted the offer on 425 S Pennsylvania. RML9 Investments Inc offered $200,000.
