The USD 480 Board of Education met Monday evening at East Campus and in new business the Board approved the bid from Shawnee Mission Ford in the amount of $61,193.00 to purchase an 8 passenger SUV. This completes small vehicle purchases for the 25-26 school year.
The Board the approved the Youth Teacher Apprentice Program as presented and also approved the final payment to French Construction in the amount of $40,681.08 for the Bright Start Front Entry project.
Approved at the meeting was the quote from Southern Office Supply in the amount of $11,594.50 for furniture at Liberal High School. After Executive sessions the Board approved a one-time payment for classified hourly employees for the purpose of covering the delay of wage increases for the 2025-2026 school year and also approved the Policy and Employee Handbook Updates.
