Joe Denoyer - August 16, 2018 10:06 am

Crews have begun a mill and overlay project on U.S. 83 in Seward County.  The project begins at the Six Points intersection in Liberal and continues south to the Kansas/Oklahoma state line.

Traffic will be reduced to one lane controlled by flaggers and a pilot car.  KDOT urges drivers to be alert, pay attention to all work zone warning signs, and be prepared to stop.

APAC Shears of Hutchinson is the contractor on this $1.4 million project which is expected to be completed in September, weather permitting.

For more information on this project, contact Larry Myer, Construction Manager, at (620) 624-4451 or Lisa Knoll, KDOT District 6 Public Affairs Manager, at (620) 765-7080.

You can stay aware of all road construction projects across Kansas at www.kandrive.org or by calling 5-1-1.
