The Turpin Cardinals are aiming to continue their winning ways in 2025. They have been 9-2 the past two years and have made the playoffs in Class B for 10 of the past 11 years under 13th year head coach Justin Hannah.
They again graduate a strong senior class from last year’s 9-2 team. They return three starters of both sides of the ball. But Hannah says he is proud of this year’s seniors as six of the seven made over 90 percent of the “summer pride” workouts this summer.
Senior TE/LB Riley Fowler who was the team’s leading tackler and was all district last year. Some of the other key Cardinal players include: Sr. WR/DE Mason Nelson, Sr. C/DE Ryan Olguin, Sr. WR/DB Omar Parra, Sr. lineman Noe Rascon, Sr. RB/LB Angel Silva, Sr. lineman Benny Mata, Jr. lineman Alex Alvarado, and Jr. QB/DB Saul Alvarado.
The Cardinals were featured on the Sportsguys Tuesday morning.
Turpin plays four of their first five games at home before playing three of the last four on the road.
