Today is Mr. Vernon Welch Day at Liberal Schools

It is the last day of school for students in Liberal. Teachers will still have a work day on Thursday, that includes a continental breakfast for all USD 480 staff on Thursday morning at Liberal High School. Teachers and all- staff will also be recognized at an assembly at 8 a.m. in the James Maskus Auditorium.

Today is also Mr. Vernon Welch Day. Welch is retiring as Superintendent of USD 480 schools after 23 years of service to the district, including the last six as Superintendent. Welch will also be honored at Thursday’s assembly.
