Three LHS Golfers Wrap Up Season at State

Nick Rotolo

Day 1 at state was a difficult day for the Redskins Tuesday at 6A state in Winfield. Delayed start of an hour to begin and then played on rains for first 1/3 of the round. The boys battled all day but weren’t able to reach day 2 of the state tournament.

Kale Miller finished off his freshman year with an 83 and missed the cut by 2. He finished the season as one of the top freshman in 6A and had the lowest scoring average out of the freshman class in 6A.

Skyler Hubbard shot an 89 to finish off his high school career and third time at state.

In Hudson Rice’s final go at it and first year at state he shot 91.

Overall the season was a successful one and saw some strides in the program and the groundwork has been laid by this senior class to hopefully continue the improvement of the team and the program as a whole.
