Three Car Crash in Sublette Injures Five

A car ran a stop sign in Sublette and injured five people Saturday afternoon. The Kansas Highway Patrol reports 85 year old Raymon Bernice Reynolds of Dalhart was headed south on 83 approaching the 56 junction when he failed to stop at the stop sign and hit two cars. Reynolds and his passenger 82 year old Ann Flamm Reynolds were injured. They were taken to Southwest Medical Center. The driver of the first vehicle struck, 65 year old Paula Jean Rathbun of Plainville and her passenger 54 year old Mark Douglas Rathbun of Plainville, were both injured. They were taken to Satanta District Hospital. Thirty-eight year old Keely Blackwood of Liberal was in the second vehicle struck and received injuries. She was taken to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita. The crash occurred at about 12:40 Saturday afternoon in Sublette at the US 83 and US 56 junction.
