The Seward County Republican Party Will Hold Informal Forum

The Seward County Republican Party will be hosting an informal open forum on Tuesday from 7-8 p.m. at the

Seward County Administration Building in the commission chambers located at 515 N. Washington. The forum will focus on filling Congressman-Elect Tim Huelskamp’s state senate seat. Huelskamp resigned on Thursday afternoon, and so the precinct committee men and women of the 38th District will pick his successor on Monday, December 27, 2010 in Dodge City. Whoever is appointed will serve the final two years of Huelskamp’s term.

Tuesday’s meeting will be informational on how the process will work and the rules of the process. It will also allow time for anyone to voice their thoughts to the precinct committee men and women about who they would like to see appointed to the seat.

Everyone is strongly encouraged to attend and is welcome.
