Sunflower Reports Energy Generation Emergency

A Kansas electric company is asking some of its customers to cut power consumption due to an energy emergency in generation.

In a statement, Sunflower Electric said its generation problems are related to the cold weather. Customers served by Lane-Scott, Pioneer, Southern Pioneer, Prairie Land, Victory, Western and Wheatland Electric cooperatives are asked to reduce energy usage.
