During KSCB interviews with Sublette’s captains during practice Friday in Sublette, it was clear that this is a different Sublette.  Far removed from the 2020 and 2021 seasons when they won a combined two games, the SHS seniors are talking titles in 2025.  Several Larks say getting to that state championship game in 8 man Division 1 is a goal.  Last year Sublette went 8-3.  Sublette went 5-4 in 2023 marking their first winning season since a Steve Simpson coached team went 5-4 in 2011.   Lyle Befort is the head coach now.

The Larks are plentiful this season as there are 30 out for football.  The senior captains are QB/LB Drake Webber, RB/DE Caleb Friesen, RB.LB Jonathan Froese, and WR/DB Joel Loya.

Sublette was featured during Sportsguys Monday morning.  The Larks open with two straight on the road before playing three in a row at Ed Hall Field in Sublette.
