Sublette Man Killed in Finney County Crash

A Western Kansas man was killed in a two car crash Monday afternoon, the Kansas Highway Patrol said.

The accident happened at Lear Road and Lightner Road south of Garden City in Finney County.

Troopers said a pickup truck driven by Mitchell Messerly, 51, of Sublette, failed to yield at a stop sign and hit another pickup. Both trucks entered the ditch and rolled several times.

Messerly died in the crash. Two people in the other truck survived the accident.
