Shorthanded Skins Falls Short in Tournament Title

Liberal dominated the stat sheet but lost the game to Hutchinson 4-3 in double overtime Saturday afternoon in the Wichita South Titan Classic championship game. In a matchup of the second ranked Skins and the third ranked Salt Hawks, Liberal led the shots on goal category 27-10 but allowed two goals on dead balls, a corner kick, and allowed the winning goal after an errant pass from the goalie.

For the Redskins, Eduardo Moreno scored a goal on a corner kick. Isai Gutierrez added a goal with an assist from Hector Mata. Socorro Martinez found the back of the net with an assist from Joe Campo.
