The Seward volleyball team proved how good they can be when they are at their best. The Saints stunned the #9 Colby Trojans 3-1 in the Green House Wednesday night. Seward won 17-25, 27-25, 25-23, 25-18. As SCCC won the second set, the crowd was in the game and a factor down the stretch. A Colby player Kami Cowdrey suffered a lower leg injury in the fourth set with SCCC leading 17-15, she was taken off on a stretcher to a standing ovation from the crowd. Both teams gathered to pray together after the match. Colby falls to 19-5 overall and 11-1 in the Jayhawk. Seward improves to 8-14 overall and 5-6 in the Jayhawk and in a tie for fifth place. Seward hosts Garden City Saturday at 2pm in the Green House.
